Frequently asked questions

Here are some of the frequently asked questions by the parties who are interested in signing up for a franchise

This is an outlet to exclusively sell CaneFresh products in a commercial location. It requires a minimum space of 15x10 feet.

What is a kiosk outlet?

This is an outlet to sell CaneFresh products inside a mall or in a food court in IT companies. This requires a minimum of 6x6 feet space.

Who will select the place to have the exclusive outlet/kiosk?

We can help you in identifying a place. If you have a location in mind, our experienced team members can visit and provide you guidance on whether it will be a profitable location for our products or not.

Will CaneFresh help me in setting up the kiosk / designing the interiors for the outlet?

Yes we have a standard design for the kiosk as well as for the exclusive outlets. We will help the franchisee to setup the outlet.

Do the franchisee need to purchase liability insurance for potential damage/loss at the property?

Yes the franchisee's are expected to purchase the insurance for the machine as well as for the operators. The premium varies anywhere between INR 400 to 600 per month

How often will supplies be sent? Can they be sent on-demand?
Our operations manager will make sure enough supplies are provided to the outlet. Typically supplied on daily basis

When does garbage collection take place? Will the machine fill up before the garbage is collected and can the operator replace the garbage bag?

Single garbage bag can collect trash upto 100 cups. Once it gets filled the operator will replace with a new garbage bag. At the end of the day it is disposed through the municipal corporation by paying them INR 1000 per month (charges vary depending on the city). We are exploring ways to recycle this trash to be more environment friendly

Who will clean and maintain? How often is this done?
Operator must clean the machine “deeply” in the evening before the outlet closes. Deeply means we use food grade descaler to clean the tubes in the evening to guarantee the machine is 100% clean. He must flush the tubes with water in the morning before he begins to vend the juice

What is the warranty and service support on the machine?
We provide support for the machines through our own service engineers. All the maintenance for the machine are performed only by them. In case of repair, usually the machine will send a message to our support person automatically (This feature is work in progress). At present the operator has to call the local dedicated support person to report the issue. He/she will immediately attend the issue and fix it.

Will the machine report on number of cups sold everyday? Where will I see the report?
Our vending machine reports the opening sales and closing sales everyday from anywhere in the world. We are working to provide that information as a web based report to our franchisor. In the meantime we email the sales to the franchisee on daily basis.

Who is the manufacturer of the vending machine?
We have our own manufacturing facility to manufacture the vending machines.

Who determines price/cup? Does it vary by region and location?
It varies from location to location. We provide the recommendation for the franchisee to fix the price/cup. We leave it to the franchisee to decide the final price.

Will you help in procuring license/permits?
For most places you do not need a license. In places where the permit is needed, we work with the authorities to get the permit.

Is the supply of sugarcane guaranteed 365 days of the year?
Yes. One of the long range plans is to have contracts with the farmers to grow a specific variety of cane so that the taste of the juice remains the same throughout the year

What is the competitive landscape like? Are there other sugarcane juice vendors with a similar machine?
There are some competitors in Bangalore who have similar concept. But the machines they use do not have the built-in cooling system which we have patented. We built this business from the beginning with franchising in mind. Besides they don’t have the remote controlled machines like us which can report the sales automatically and needs significantly bigger investment to setup an outlet. So we are confident our model will be the successful model.
What is the cost to set up an outlet or kiosk? In other words, what is the investment amount needed? Is it required all at once or is it done in parts?
Please contact us via email or phone to understand more on the cost structure as well as return of investment. The numbers and email address are listed in the contact us .
